| DCSB was recently awarded the V-SMS project by Celcom Malaysia Bhd and this service has been launched in early September 2005. As the owner of the platform, DCSB shares revenue with Celcom and this is the next major revenue generator for the mobile telecommunication business not only in Malaysia and also around Asia Pacific. DCSB is working closely with our Korean partner for this innovative technology and we are confident this will make DCSB a successful market leader in the mobile content industry.
V-SMS is a Voice-SMS which is similar to Short Messaging System (SMS), instead of text messaging, it is a voice messaging. It is a new concept of talk and listen peer-to-peer messaging but similar to the 'type and read' text messaging service provided by SMS.
The advantages of V-SMS are:
- Subscriber sending message via voice is more incline to emotion and feeling rather than text messaging
- Simplicity and Convenient (Talking Easier Than Typing Text)
